  hi folks,.

  im just gauging interest in a possible ex jw meet-up in manchester on the weekend of july 30th?.

  planning to go to a bar somewhere around the centre, maybe deansgate and possibly a meal somewhere.

  i had a legal divorce from my ex wife( law of the land).

  i was told not to expect to get remarried because my divorce was not legal to watchtower.. my divorce and situation seem to be a talk of gossip and even a many local needs talks.

  i wanted to take some more schooling to get a better job, there was a local needs talk on higher education and it's dangers.

  may 18, 2021. a deis hearing will be held may 26; public comments period ends june 21. by tina traster.

  the town of ramapo will be accepting public comment on the proposed new world headquarters of jehovah’s witnesses audio/video production center now that the deis (draft environmental impact statement) is complete.

  gaslighting is a form of sustained manipulation that causes the victim to question or doubt their sanity, judgment and memories.

  it’s a form of emotional abuse.

  i think jehovah’s witnesses have been gaslit.

  Do you still debate with JWs?

  i was talking to an ex-jw.

  not been out as long as i have.. cut a long story short, i came to realise that i can no longer be bothered to debate jws if (on the rare occasion), i have encountered them.. i think that because i am somewhere circling a nihilistic atheist it seems pointless.

  i just don't have the energy because i rarely even think about jw related garbage.

  while we are talking about economic stimulus i thought i’d bring up the $15 minimum wage.

  It sounds like a good idea on paper, but then we would have to worry about inflation. To more than double the minimum wage at once would be disastrous IMO.

  With that being said, I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to a MAXIMUM wage. There are way too many billionaires out there.

  What was the defining moment that started your becoming a JW ?

  let me explain what i mean: i was in the company of a workmate when i looked at my hands and my arms and pointed out the veins and said something like look at that, isn`it amazing how veins and arteriies circulate the blood through our bodies ?.

  he later explained to me he wasn`t sure what he should say to me as we had been working together for about six years and he had never once brought up about his jw background .he was what we would call a weak witness and he considered me a street kid who swore and drank too much.

  i was twenty years old at the time.. i can`t remember the actual conversations that transpired ,but thats what started me down the road to becoming a witness and then convincing my gf to join me and about two years later we were married in a kh.. can you point to any one thing or conversation that started you down the road to becoming a witness?.

  I don't feel bad for anyone who voluntarily chooses a certain profession and then the going gets rough. If you can't handle it, find something else to do.
